Sympathy for the Devil

The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.  It has a samba rhythm, percussion-heavy groove, and call-and-response backing vocals, which give it a hypnotic, ritualistic feel that contrasts with its dark lyrical content  which serves as a commentary on moral corruption, power, and collective responsibility for evil.
